The Central PA Humane Society (CPHS) will be holding their hugely popular Chili Fest & Wings fundraiser on Saturday, January 27th, 2018.  This fun event will be held from 5-10pm in the Bavarian Aid Society’s Grand Ballroom in Altoona, PA.  Tickets are $15.00 per person and will be pre-sold prior to the event.   PLEASE NOTE:  This is an 21 years and over event – PHOTO ID WILL BE REQUIRED AT THE DOOR!

This event is a lot of fun!  Contestants are made up of Blair County restaurants and individuals all vying for the prize of Best Chili and/or Wings judged by a panel of celebrity judges.  Our judges are Mayor Matt Pacifico, WTAJ’s KC Kantz and Brian Gates.  There is also a people’s choice award voted on by participants as they all get to sample the spicy chili and scrumptious wings!   This year there will be a live band – Shallow 9 who will play from 7-10pm and everyone gets to dance the night away.

In addition to the Chili & Wings tastings a cash bar will also be available.  Basket raffles, 50/50 raffles, gift certificates and great prizes will also be on hand to help fund CPHS projects.

Proceeds from the CPHS Chili Fest & Wings will benefit the Central PA Humane Society general operations and day to day running of the shelter.   CPHS takes in approximately 1,500-2,000 unwanted and abandoned animals every year.   They receive no government support or financial assistance from other national rescue groups and rely solely on donations from the community and fundraisers such as this event.   CPHS has a very dedicated staff and amazing volunteers who give everything to provide these scared, often abused animals comfort and love during their stay.    They also work closely with rescue groups and foster homes to provide animals that do not adjust well to the shelter environment a place to feel relaxed and comfortable until they find their forever home.

Any questions please contact Becky Felton at 814-942-5402 ext 103, or email Bfelton@centralpahumane.org.
