Regional golfers are invited to sign up for the 13th Annual Golf Tournament to Benefit the Central PA Humane Society. The tournament will take place at the beautiful Scotch Valley Country Club, 18 Clubhouse Drive, Hollidaysburg, PA on Wednesday, September 8, 2010. Registration and lunch begins at 11:30am and the golf tournament begins at 12:30pm with a scramble format.

Fees for the event include golf and a cart, refreshments on the course, lunch, locker room facilities, and in addition the event will offer many door prizes and a 50/50 drawing. The entry cost for a four person team is $440. Individuals may sign up for $110. If you do not have a full team we will pair you up with one. Sponsorships are still available.

Kindergarten classes at Juniata Valley Elementary School recently worked on service project. Students from Miss Joivell’s, Ms. Morrison’s, Mrs. Gahagan’s, and Mrs. Buchmann’s classes learned about being responsible pet owners, taking care of pets, and helping pets. The read stories, wrote sentences, and listened to a guest speaker from the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society (CPHS).
