CPHS Spay DaysCPHS Spay Days

Spay Days is a low-cost spay/neuter program offered by the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society (CPHS) in conjunction with participating veterinarians and citizens concerned about the desperate problem of companion animal overpopulation in our area. The program is designed to offer some financial support for loving, responsible pet owners who are not financially able to afford the entire cost of surgery.

CPHS Spay DaysPet Overpopulation Statistics

Did you know that in six years that one female dog and her offspring could be the source of 67,000 puppies?  Or, that in seven years one female cat and her offspring could produce 420,000 kittens?  Spaying and neutering helps control this overabundance of animals!

Spaying or neutering will not make your pet overweight.  To the contrary, dogs and cats live healthier lives and are less susceptible to cancer or disease of the reproductive organs.  Also, male animals are less likely to roam or mark their territory.

CPHS Spay DaysHow You Can Help

In order for CPHS to offer this program, we rely on donations to help cover the cost of spay and neuter surgeries.  Help solve pet overpopulation; click here to donate.

Please help be part of the solution to pet overpopulation by spaying or neutering your pet!
