Fresh Bark Thrift Shop
The CPHS Thrift Store has a new location, a new look, and a new name, Fresh Bark, which represents a fresh start for all of us; the precious animals we rescue, and all of us in the community. Fresh Bark is now located directly across the street from the shelter at 1836 East Pleasant Valley Blvd. Altoona PA 16602.
Fresh Bark has a trendy, upscale look that is inviting and shopper friendly. Our newly renovated shop, a work-in-progress, is overflowing with the uncountable, generous donations from all over the region, near and far. The heartfelt donation of time from several extremely hard-working volunteers makes everything possible for the life and heartbeat of Fresh Bark to be there for all to experience.

- Tuesday through Friday: 11:00am - 7:00pm
- Saturday: 11:00am - 5:00pm
- Sunday and Monday: Closed

Fresh Bark Thrift Shop features a large selection of carefully selected items at extremely low prices. Our merchandise includes:

Donations And Volunteers
Donations are accepted only during times the shop is open. The store accepts clean "in style" clothing, toys, infant and children’s wear, household items (in good condition), knick-knacks, games, and furniture.
Fresh Bark is staffed by volunteers who give their time to sort, price, inventory, stock, and handle clerk duties. Volunteers are always welcome and needed. Experience is not necessary, just a "good attitude" and the ability to work well with others. All the proceeds from the Thrift Shop benefit the homeless animals at CPHS.
